We are pleased to have been awarded planning permission for Longford Baptist Church in Coventry.

The church has been worshipping on this site since 1827 and their building is on the councils list of buildings which are important to the city’s heritage. The existing building is poorly insulated and the building difficult to access due the floors being at different heights throughout the building. The existing small entrance is on a side street and the church activities not very visible to the local community.

Mayway are delighted to be able to help the church navigate through the planning and conservation process and deliver a design with a new entrance from the main road with much improved visibility. The old balcony is being removed and a new first floor being formed, the building will have two large halls and a larger entrance lobby with café facilities. We are looking forward to addressing the accessibility and insulation issues during the construction stage of the project which is already under way.
